Drawn to the people-focused nature of workplace law, Ellen values the opportunity to have a positive impact on an organization’s work environment. She currently acts for and advises clients in both labour and employment, as well as administrative law. Before joining Harris & Company as an Associate in 2020, she summered and articled at the firm.

Ellen obtained her J.D. from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia in 2019. During law school, she spent a semester working at the Indigenous Community Legal Centre in Vancouver’s Downtown East Side. She assisted with civil and criminal files and appeared on behalf of clients in Provincial Court. Ellen also worked as a research assistant on a variety of administrative law topics.

While attending law school, Ellen received the Richard R. Sugden, QC prize in Advanced Trial Advocacy and the Lawson Lundell Prize in Administrative Law, demonstrating her legal aptitude and propensity for hard work.
