Minister of Labour Establishes Committee under Section 3 of BC Labour Relations Code

In December 2002 the Minister of Labour established an independent Committee under Section 3 of the BC Labour Relations Code. The role of the Committee is to advise government on matters pertaining to the Code including fourteen issues under consideration for amendments. The five members of the committee include Eric Harris, Q.C., a partner of Harris & Company. The Committee is expected to submit a written report to the Minister by March 31, 2003. The Labour Relations Code Review Committee has invited submissions on labour relations issues in BC. Submissions to the Committee may be viewed on line.
