Warren advises clients on a variety of labour, employment, governance and human rights issues, with a focus on public sector labour law and education law in both the K-12 and post-secondary education sectors. Warren also has broad experience with workplace investigations and current legal requirements and best practices.
Warren is an outcome-oriented problem solver who delivers positive results for clients through diligent research, meticulous planning, and sound strategy and tactics. Warren’s attention to detail also keeps him current on recent developments in the law, and Warren provides pro-active information and suggestions to his clients to prevent potential disputes or risks of liability or reputational damage.
Warren was called to the Alberta bar in 2018 and the British Columbia bar in 2019. In addition to working as a private practice lawyer in both British Columbia and Alberta, Warren’s experience includes working as an in-house legal counsel for one of Canada’s largest energy companies, and working as director of labour relations for a British Columbia employer’s association. This experience means that Warren understands both the legal and the practical side of employment and labour law issues. Warren is equipped to provide his clients with legal advice that is legally sound while still being practical and actionable.
