Rod is primarily focused on construction and commercial litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Rod articled at a boutique litigation firm where he gained a broad range of experience in the areas of insurance defence litigation, criminal law, family law, commercial and estate litigation. While attending law school, Rod interned at a large firm in downtown Vancouver and in Shanghai for a large global firm gaining a wide array of corporate law experience.
Rod has acted as lead counsel on three trials and as second chair on several more trials. He has appeared before the Provincial Court of British Columbia, the Supreme Court of British Columbia, the British Columbia Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada. Further to this, Rod has worked with owners advising and acting on their behalf for $200M construction projects. He also routinely represents owners and contractors on smaller construction projects.
