Andy practices civil litigation with an emphasis on commercial litigation, aboriginal law, construction law, and occupational health and safety law. Andy is an exceptionally organized problem solver. He approaches each matter with an efficient and detailed analysis from the client’s perspective to provide optimal and well-rounded solutions that consider ramifications for his clients beyond each matter.

Andy’s construction law and occupational health and safety law practices inform and build on each other. In addition, he has a broad range of experience, including contract disputes, debt claims, construction disputes, shareholders’ disputes, insurance coverage disputes, health and safety issues and workplace law. He has represented clients in administrative tribunals, the British Columbia Supreme Court, and in mediations.

Andy obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Peter A. Allard School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a minor in Mathematics from the University of British Columbia. During law school, Andy represented Peter A. Allard School of Law in the Bowman National Tax Moot.

Andy’s clients benefit from his in-house legal experience. Andy handled litigation strategy with litigation counsel at a technology company, and he also worked at the legal department of a financial institution.

Prior to joining Harris, Andy practiced at a leading civil litigation boutique. Andy speaks English and Mandarin
