Over the past decade, Virginie has built a diverse workplace law practice, incorporating experience from working at a national law firm, serving as in-house counsel for a leading Canadian post-secondary institution, and acting as Employee Relations Manager for Seaspan ULC. The breadth of her experience has given her a broad understanding of labour and employment matters, from both a client and advisor perspective. This unique insight enables her to offer nuanced and pragmatic workplace law solutions to clients.

Virginie has counselled clients from both provincial and federal jurisdictions, on a wide range of labour and employment law matters, including negotiating, drafting and interpreting collective agreements, employer policies, discipline and grievance management. While in-house, Virginie was a strategic resource for senior management, providing direction on progressive labour and employee relation strategies, implementing best practices across the organization. This invaluable experience influences Virginie’s approach to working with clients; she makes sure to consider the broader organization context when advising on legal matters.

Virginie is fluent in French and English.
