Harris is pleased to announce that Jacob Baziuk has joined the firm as an Associate.
Jacob began working at Harris in 2017 as an articled student. He attended law school at Queen’s University, where he was successful in various advocacy competitions, including as a finalist at the Ontario-wide Hicks Morley Labour Law Moot in Toronto. During his time at university, Jacob volunteered with various community organizations, including the Boys and Girls Club and the Canadian Red Cross.
Jacob takes a practical approach to workplace law. His background provides ground-floor knowledge of the workplace and how it operates, which is useful in understanding the needs and practical realities of each client. He advises clients in both the public and private sector on issues including labour disputes, occupational health and safety, WorkSafeBC matters, employment standards, and collective bargaining.
We look forward to the many contributions Jacob will make to our practice. Welcome Jacob!
