CUPE School Board Support Staff Local File Application at Labour Relations Board

CUPE school board support staff locals filed an application with the BC Labour Relations Board today challenging part of the Minister of Labour’s directions in appointing the Industrial Inquiry Commission under the Public Education Support Staff Collective Bargaining Assistance Act. The applicants assert that the minister lacked authority to direct the Commissioners to abide by PSEC compensation guidelines in carrying out their duties.
