Countdown to the Olympics…Are You Ready?

In less than six months Vancouver will welcome the world at the opening of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. In preparation for the Games, many employers are considering how the Games may impact on the operation of their business. Some considerations include:

• Transportation to and from the workplace, including road closures during the Games.
• The proximity of work locations to Olympic venues.
• Managing employee requests for time off during the Games.
• Ensuring statutory and contractual obligations to employees are met in the event any worksites are closed during the Games.
