Changes to Parental/Pregnancy Leave Provisions of Employment Standards Act

Changes to the parental and pregnancy leave provisions of the Employment Standards Act come into effect at the end of the year. These changes will affect pregnancy or parental leaves started after December 31 2000. The most significant changes increase unpaid parental leave entitlement from twelve to thirty-seven weeks.
