Funding for the “Health Action Plan” was passed by the BC legislature on December 8 2000. The legislature approved $212 million in new health funding that will bring the province’s health budget to $8.8 billion for the 2000-01 fiscal year. Of this, $180 million is earmarked for health action plan measures.
