On January 9, 2004, the BC Human Rights Tribunal announced that it will conduct a review of the Rules of Practice and Procedure which were established last Spring. The Rules address the process for making and responding to a complaint; the process for making applications; hearing issues such as summonsing witnesses; and post-hearing matters such as enforcing orders.
The Tribunal has invited interested members of the community to make submissions on the operation or impact of the Rules. All submissions will be reviewed and considered before any changes to the Rules are made. The Tribunal is accepting submissions until March 31, 2004.
