Harris & Company LLP is pleased to announce that Ilan Burkes, Robyn Jarvis, and David Woolias have joined the partnership.

“Please join us in congratulating these talented lawyers on their admission to the partnership.” said Colin Gibson, Firm Managing Partner.  “Each of these individuals has demonstrated exceptional legal knowledge and client service. Our new partners will play a critical role in the continued success of our firm.”

Ilan’s practice focuses on labour, employment, and human rights. He offers legal and strategic advice to employers on issues such as collective agreement interpretation, collective bargaining, employee discipline, privacy law, and the duty to accommodate. Ilan represents his clients before federal and provincial labour relations boards, arbitration boards, administrative tribunals and the court.

Robyn is a key member of our commercial litigation group. She has advised and represented clients in a variety of sectors with complex corporate and commercial litigation issues, including professional regulatory matters, contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, negligence, breaches of trust and fiduciary duties, and civil fraud.  She has also developed a strong practice acting for employers in employment and human rights matters.

David acts for both public and private sector clients in relation to all aspects of employment, labour relations and human rights law. This includes advising on, drafting and negotiating contracts of employment and independent contractor agreements, collective agreements, policies and other materials relating to terms and conditions of employment, with a particular emphasis on issues relating to the employment of senior executives.
