BC minimum wage increasing June 1, 2019

On June 1, 2019, the general minimum hourly wage in BC will increase to $13.85 per hour from $12.65.

The minimum wage rates for liquor servers, resident caretakers and live-in camp leaders will also increase as follows:

  • liquor server minimum wage will increase to $12.70 per hour;
  • resident caretaker minimum wage will increase to $831.45 per month for those who manage 9-60 suites, or $2,832.11 for those who manage 61 or more suites;
  • live-in camp leader minimum wage will increase to $110.87 per day.
